Dear Diary,
Well today I realised something, I found my role model today... I mean,I always admired him, but today I got the clarity. My manager Sahil is my role model. Now I am working in another project under a different manager who is also really nice and helpful. But Sahil is just on another level on that, he is not only helpful, he has given me great work, and he is still my manager so he always recommends me for anything good.
He always provides extra suggestions on how to excel in career, things to follow, etc. Whenever I worked for him, I always felt like giving my 100% and I have done so much interesting work under him which I don't know if I will get to do again. My current manager, Vanshdeep is also equally great when it comes to being supportive. He is really patient.
I would just say , I am really lucky to work under such people, Specially Sahil because he is really talented. He is like one of the assets of company, and another guy I worked with along with him, is now a business architect director, he is super talented. He does work equivalent to 3 people. I am glad I had the opportunity to work under such people, their energy, vibe and knowledge is something different.
I was among the 1st team Sahil lead, and he is so inspiring. One day I would like to be like him. He always shares extra knowledge... That is so nice of him. He and Vanshdeep both have such a calm voice. Vanshdeep also helped a lot in designing the solution.
Though I am not a manager, but there is a part of project in which I am expert , and though I am not part of that project, I always support them and help them. Even Managers also seek help from me in that. I just usually give direction like do this and that like that, sometimes they just debug and I give directions. So, I guess I should also try to be that person, I usually don't share extra knowledge. But I help a lot. So, I should do that too. Its always a good thing only.
I would like to work with him again as my current development which was a big development is done. FUT is remaining now.
What I liked about Sahil is he would take my suggestion when some out of the box and complex requirement is needed, because he knows I am good at it, and I really appreciate it.
He is not just my manager , but my mentor as well... I have learned so much from him. He is currently onsite in Germany.
One thing I realised, even in my previous project, my manager was a good person. I was released from that project , but when I got this project I told him , and one of my previous team mates told me later that he told her he was very happy for me. My team was nice too , they gave me suprice bday party and also arranged a really nice farewell from project and gave amazon gift voucher as well. On my bday they arranged cake and gave me an external HD as a gift. I mean its not usual to do so much, like I was really surprised, and also the project farewell as it was just project farewell and also during covid. So I appreciate that as well.
