Dear Diary,

I hate general expectations in society.

People go around living in this world as if they're entitled to everyone else's generosity, respect, and loyalty. Then they end up disappointed because they didn't receive those things.

A conversation I had today sparked up this heated debate in my head.

Them: "I would be such an entitled bitch if I didn't wanna help people I love"

Me: "just because you don't wanna help someone, doesn't make you entitled."

Them: "Yes it does, if you have money you should use it for the greater good, not keep it to yourself and show it off" (I dunno why they added that ending bit.. i never said anything about showing it off).

I'm all for good morals and ideals but they only matter for that individual. People with money have it because they worked hard for it so why should they be expected to give it to other people?

If you wanna give someone money then go ahead but how can you just expect people to give their money away for the common good?

Not all of us see the world as something that deserves giving back to.

Just because you don't give away what you earned doesn't make you entitled, selfish, or greedy. You earned your possessions so its your right to keep it.

You're born with God given rights but that doesn't mean you deserve someones generosity, respect, or loyalty unless its earned.

Just because your house burned down doesn't mean anyone is obligated to help you out with a temporary living situation, clothes, or anything else, you can only hope they would.
