Dear Diary,
I just finished Madeline Miller's The Song of Achilles, and I am so empty right now. At the same time, I'm full of feelings I can't understand. The story was so beautifully painful, but I am very much content with how it ended.
I already knew how the book was gonna end before reading it. Mostly because we've studied about Greek myths back in college and because of the spoilers I've seen online. Yet, it still caught me off guard, especially the last two lines. When I tell you how beautiful every line was I wish I wrote them.
I estimate it'll take me a month or two to completely get over it, or maybe never at all. I'm never gonna get over it. I haven't written anything for more than three months already, and reading the book makes me want to write something now. I'm going to write about it. I am going to write about them—Achilles and Patroclus. I'll let you know once it's done.
