Zombie Apocalypse

[ENTRY 47..✍️]

I haven't felt this kind of excitement over a show since "The Walking Dead". I thought I'd never find another series with that much action and thrill again, or at least, something that could rival its quality, but thank heavens I gave "Z Nation" a try. When you've had a taste of perfection, you think everything else is lame and that's exactly what I thought about Z Nation at first. Where TWD focuses more on finding and building a safe community to inhabit, Z Nation is about making a vaccine against the virus. Although I'm really loving this show, TWD will still always be the best for me. Hehe. Maybe because it has more seasons so my attachment is a little deeper.. And if you combine that with the more intense plotline, almost any death of a character will hurt.

"Z Nation", however, is a whole lot funnier. It reminded me of this old zombie movie series that truly cracked me up when I was a kid. "The Night of the Living Dead", I think. Damn, I watched that movie series when I was about 13 and immensely enjoyed it. I don't know how many parts it has in total but I think I watched four, if I'm not mistaken. All on consecutive nights.

I remember when dad made this dish out of meat that had soup and it looked somewhat orange, almost resembling the food zombies like to devour the most. Whilst watching the movie, he called us for dinner and when I saw what was being served, my eyes instantly sparkled and I legit growled: "Brainsss…"

My sisters laughed because they had joined me in watching once in a while, too, and couldn't agree more with the resemblance.

I'm still in the 3rd season of Z Nation but my favourite characters are 10K, Doc, and Murphy. I also really like Hector despite his awful past. He used to be a very terrible man but because of that, he's an asset because he's literally the baddest of them all. Just like Negan in "The Walking Dead". I've been meaning to watch its last season, actually, but it's been a year now.

See, I have this habit. When I'm up-to-date with a series and they haven't released the next season yet, my enthusiasm to watch kind of fades overtime and it would take quite a while for me to "feel" like getting back to it and once I do, I have to start from the very beginning to retrieve the hype I lost, otherwise I won't enjoy it as much because I would be disoriented having forgotten some names and events over the course of my hiatus. The same thing happened with "Game of Thrones" and "Attack on Titans".

Anyway, a short scene for a fanfic suddenly popped into my head while I was simping over 10K. Lmao. I guess you could call it a one-shot.. I don't know, it's really short. I'Il post it next.
