Dear Diary,

When he came home last night he was drunk out of his mind. When he drinks, he isn't himself. He took out one of his knives, and told me that if I leave him he would cut me, and that he wasn't kidding. He held the knife to my cheek, and threatened that if I were to run he would throw it right at my face. It's like he is the devil when he isn't sober. I was so afraid. I don't know what to do about him, or what to say. I don't even think he remembers what happened.

@AnonSystem Hey, thank you for that insight. <3 typically he isnt like this, but he decided to hang out with some friends before he has to leave in a couple weeks...he never told me he had a drinking problem, so it was a shock. We made up, and he promised to try and hold his liquor better or stop drinking sll together because we dont want to lose each other. Also, I'm sorry that you had to go through something similar as well.

I'll be honest id consider leaving him if thats typical. People like that tend not to change... I have been in a lot of unhealthy relationship and I am so young to have been in that many but I seem to be drawn to unhealthy people. It makes life hell, it makes you not wnat to live anymore, and when you guys live together he may start acting like that sober. Pay attention for more red flags.

I lived with an alcoholic when I was too young to understand. He could be an angel when he was sobee but a devil when drunk. Still he was family so I loved my grandpa but things always turned out bad for me. When I first got drunk with some friends and I mean really drunk I was so scared I'd be like that but no. I was just googy and overly happy I was pretty relived. It can be hard to deal with someone like that... I suggest to qcoid being home when you know they are drinking.
