“Waking the demon”.

Lonely nights are the most unbearable for her. In the silence, as the world drifts into slumber, something dark awakens within her. Her inner demon, like a gnawing beast, devours the cocoon of her soul, leaving behind nothing but gaping voids. Her thoughts grow chaotic, sometimes spiraling into the most absurd and terrifying extremes.

At times, she longs to return - if only for a fleeting moment - to that mad whirlwind of the past, where passion intertwined with pain, where illusions offered more warmth than reality. At others, a searing rage ignites within her, filling her mind with curses, with the desire to destroy, with wishes for the worst. She knows that neither path will bring her peace, yet the demon craves vengeance. It hungers for suffering.

She thought she had made peace with the emptiness, that she had learned to live without the fire in her soul. But the demon - whom she had allowed in, the one who trampled her love - now demands more. It is insatiable. It is never enough. And with each lonely night, it rises again, whispering that the darkness within her has never truly left.

Once more, she flees into books, seeking refuge from senseless torment. In the desperate hope of unfolding her soul within a new story, with a new plot, she loses herself in another character - if only to forget.
