Dear Diary, so updating from last time when I didnt know what to do after Spike added those reactions to my messages on Whatsapp. What I ended up doing (last Thursday) was to post into the group that a really good animated movie (Mind Game by Masaaki Yuasa, check it out!) is free on youtube for a month. A bunch of people wrote that they would check it out. Knight for example said thanks for the info and reacted with a 👍. I reacted to them with a 👍 if they said they would check it out and a 🤗 if they said thanks. Then I waited for Spike to say something. It took about 2,5 hours, which is faster than usual. She reacted with a ❤ to my message, which I was pretty happy about and said:
i love that movie! thank you so much for sharing!
And then she wrote that Howls Movking Castle will have a re-run at the museum and that she will probably be there on the 18th with a :) . Then she added:
also, some other very interesting films in the programme this month, especially from Africa! the whole programme is worth checking out I'd say, very cool :)

I didnt wait long and reacted with a 🤗 to her first message and a 👍 to the last. I intentionally didnt react to the second, since I wasnt sure about going yet. Plus I wanted to do the same thing she did, wait a few days.
So the last few days I've been thinking if I should go. Obviously I want to see her. But I've already recently seen the film for the tutorial so I am not that eager to see it again. Also I was worried about being annoying to her and about my hair situation. It is pretty long and I'm afraid she will find me ugly, but if I go to the barber it might turn out worse. And I am afraid of going as you know. Thankfully my eczema isnt super bad right know, since I've been washing my hair every day in preparition. The ezemas main symptom are flakes and crusts on my skalp so going to the barber can be quite embarassing. Yeah I'm still thinking about that.
Anyway, I reacted to the second message today with 👍. I actually dont know how she will interpret that, hopefully she will get the message and maybe even be happy that I'll be there. I might be a coward for not just writing her privately that I will come. I was thinking about that too. But it might be weird to just randomly write her when we havent really done that much. The only thing we write except the stuff concerning the stuff concerning the cinema was one time when she couldnt go to japanese because of her wisdom tooth removal:

Basically she thanked me for what I said in class that day and I said that it was impressive she was able to do the tutorial that day. So yeah that was in May.
We will see what happens I guess.
Also today I was going to meet Belle but she said that she would message me when I should meet her and didnt until 20:30, saying that I should come at 22:00 and also asking if it was too late. I said that it was a bit too late for me. I have to take the train there too and that wasnt really worth it. Now I think she is a bit mad at me but whatever. I wasnt that desperate for female companionship today anyway.
Also yesterday we had a discussion about the Little Mermaid trailer. She is really into mermaids and doesnt like that she cant identify with the new actress who is black. I like the new actress especially because she is black, even if its just a marketing move from disney. Its probably not going to be good though, judging from the quality of the other disney remakes that were super pointless or worse.
She kept saying that I think she is racist for not liking the black girl. I'm not, I think its okay to think an actress doesnt fit. However her other arguments were racist in my opinion, even though I didnt say that to her. She argued that a mermaid couldnt be black because there isnt enough sunlight at the bottom of the ocean. And what was worse she said that mermaids are culturally known to not be black therefore it would send a message that wasnt intended by the original story. Both is bullshit in my opinion. There are black fish too. Mermaids are magic they can be whatever. And of course people of color can do roles that were white before withput the whole movir being about that. What are you going to do? exclude them? Heck its good if the movie sends a message like that. We need more people of color in random lead roles. Even as a white guy I'm sick of all the white male leads. But honestly I think those were just ways to justify her wanting an Ariel that looks as close to her as possible. She even said that she would prefer her with brown hair. She is still going to see the movie though. So that was another reason I was ok ith not seeing her today.
Now I'm going to finish the Manga Angel Densetsu. I found out about it recently and the two OVA episodes that exist of it, when I was going through old anime openings for fun. Its about a guy with the face of a demon but the heart of an angel who goes to highschool and is immediately seen as a delinquent and a drug addict. He even beats the other delinquents by accident. Its really funny. He starts screaming when he wants to help somebody and everybody is terrified from it. Later in the manga it turns into romance too when a girl sees his true colors, that was unexpected and cool. So yeah I recommend it!
