I have an interview tomorrow with IBM and with PWC day after tomorrow.
Interview prep - 0%
So, I need to go through relevant interview questions, and study some ebooks.
Do I have enough time ? No.
But do I have knowledge? Yes.
Can I showcase my knowledge? Depends on interview preparation.
So, I need to be honest with myself.
Today had a call with my manager, so my senior manager doesn't want to retain me. He said the kind of hike I am asking for is not possible. My manager said that to replace me he would have to hire someone with more experience and with more salary than she is asking. He also said that I am one of the best employees he has worked with. So, the sr. Manager said he will discuss with the others. There is also HR Policy etc. So, conclusion is its not going to happen. Even if it happens it will happen after a long time.
WON'T DISCUSS RETENTION WITH YOU OR WITH ANYONE AGAIN. DON'T THINK ABOUT IT AGAIN.
All I need to do is keep giving interviews. And then the questions will start being common. I will have an idea... And definitely will clear one of them.
There are some good WFH opportunities too... Will try to get one if possible.
Target: Rank between top 25 by September 15.
Prepare wisely for interviews. Get atleast 1 offer in hand by end of this month.
