June 29, 2022 #208 About diary writing and journaling method for self improvement

 

Dear Diary, I’m feeling down. Maybe my body is tired due to the sudden beginning of sommer. Around 40℃ 3days in a low. 



Diary writing 
I vent things down here. I like it to do here because it’s comfortable to type and not write down physically. 

Hmm I feel weird sensation in my stomach. Not good. 
Well but what I want to try is journaling. I need to look things as it happens. I need to be calm down to deal with my daily life. But as I am not feeling well (again), I may keep using this wonderful app instead of a real journal notebook. 

To train brain is not easy at all. It should be done little by little. Otherwise my brain will get tired easily. 
My room window is opened and it smells weird outside. 
Morita method has diary part. And the diary method is little bit strict. It’s journal to write what was happened on that day. Patients tend to express how they felt eg i went to walk but I got too tired than it should affects. I don’t know why I am like this weak etc etc. It might help to express what in mind. But in Morita method diary, we shouldn’t do this but only write like I went to walk 15 min and had 1h of nap for recovery. 

Do I think I can? 
Do I want to do this? 

 

I also went thorough some YouTube videos about diary for self improvement. Two of them inspired me. One of them was by an athlete. He separated his thoughts/what comes up (start to write it from the front of his notebook) and records he tracks for improvement (it was physical training record for him but I think I can adjust. And he starts it from the back page.) He said it’s good to him to have them separated. And I thought it’s good idea to look self improvement journey rationally as possible as I can. 
The other video was kinda same. But she said she sees therapist. So she might have mental struggle like me, I just assumed so. She said she has separated journals for two purposes. One is for list style journal. (In morning: three things she is looking forward on that day. In evening: three things she wins on that day. And also three things she felt happy for on that day. ) I may call this as daily journal. She said it helps her to find positive things even if it was a tough day for her. And what I thought was it can be my Morita method diary thingy. 
The other one is for venting, I would say. So I guess it’s a diary-diary like I do here. 
She said she has one more diary for special occasion to think things deeper. So it’s journal I guess. 

Have them separated spaces for
Jotting down thoughts and dotos
Listing specific things about a day
+Recording habits 
Reflection and something like quotes journaling
Venting things down

Reflection and venting can be in the same section. 

Reflection might come from the recording section too. 

I need to keep reflection part copy and pasted from both sections. 
And maybe from quotes section. 

Listing journal and reflection can be in a same section but I want them to be separated. 

Is it possible to have a Bojo style one 
for Jotting down thoughts and dotos but the todos are only for self improvement like habit to establish.

Habits tracker 
Tracker for weather and health
+ something like quotes journaling
Double entry style in a separated section

Venting things down and reflection
Here 

Reflection can be in anywhere but may be copy and pasted as a letter ✉️ form and I could keep it in my tracking journal. 

I would do the tracking journal entry at a decided time of a day.
