poem

Hard to love

She looks flawless from the outside,

holding the perfect image.

The far you stay, the more you stray

the closer you come, the more you burn.

Fire in her soul holds the flame.

Flames of chaos, resistance and lack of trust,

not in others but in reality.

Pain shook her heart, breaking it to pieces,

Pieces of hers people called hard to love.

The shivers she holds under that skin,

with hope in those brown eyes of hers.

So yes, she is hard to love,

but when has love ever been easy?
