Dear Diary,So here it goes Callie and Colton had gone to a school program. I was out of town, taking a load of cattle to Colorado. They were heading home and it was raining pretty hard, we have a section of road that has the worst hair pin curves in it. Callie was in the S curves and a car coming from the opposite way started to slide and hit Callie’s truck and she rolled a semi-truck coming around the corner swerved to miss the other car and its load shifted and the semi roll over on top of the Truck Callie and Colton where in.

At some point they think Colton was crawling out of the truck and Callie must have seen the semi coming and grabbed Colton by the foot and pulled him back in the truck pushed him to the floor board just before the semi caused the cab of Callie’s truck to crush down on the doors. They came up with this from what Colton was saying when the first Deputy arrived, Colton was the only one conscious walking around saying I don’t know what to do. Mom won’t talk to me, she told me to get out she took my boot when I ask for it, she told me I didn’t need to wear it anymore just get out. He kept saying that over and over. When they finally got Callie out of the truck, she had Colton’s boot in her arms, and her arms were pinned under the steering wheel The corner said Callie passed away instantly when the semi rolled on to the truck, they have no idea how Colton got out of the truck much less with only a black eye. They estimated it took about 30 minutes before anyone found the wreck. When I got back, they keep Colton in the hospital 2 days. He wouldn’t talk to anybody on the third day when he woke up, he looked at me and ask can we go home. So far, he has not said anything about the wreck he talks about his mom and knows what happen, He says he doesn’t remember any details he was asleep. He was withdrawn for a while, but like at the hospital He woke up and was back to his normal self. And he is becoming more outgoing more than he has ever been we still have some issues to overcome, but we are getting there slowly I’m letting him set the pace.
