Today is June 7, 2021. I surrendered to my whim of looking up a site where I can publicly air my fleeting thoughts while being anonymous. Alas, this is that site.
It's such a delight to type out diary-style when you're a touch typist. It's been almost a year since I started touch typing and now I'm on 60 WPM. Typing without looking at the keyboard is one of my proudest quarantine achievements. My goal is to type as fast as how I think so typing will be seamless. I'm thinking of ditching the analog way of writing because of the nasty callous in my dominant hand.
Yesterday was my Dad's birthday. I was just as pissed as my Mom because Dad entertained visitors. Whoever's reading this diary you'd probably think we're being toxic but no, there's a fucking pandemic and the people who came over yesterday are from the other district and one of them is our neighbor who just got home from work. We've dodged the virus for over a year and I'd be so mad if we lose just because of my Dad's people-pleaser attitude.
Enough of what transpired yesterday. The only thing you need to know is that my brother CJ broke his gaming mouse and I lent him my wireless mouse. I feel like it's gonna be a while before he buys a new one so I should get used to using my laptop's trackpad for now.
CJ tried rummaging for an old mouse and he found one but the left click button doesn't work anymore. He also found 2 old keyboards but as expected they don't work anymore. I'm yet to let go of my yearning for the RK61 RGB mechanical keyboard, it's expensive in our currency and obviously something that I can live without. BUT DAMN ISN'T THAT BEAUTY OF A KEYBOARD BEAUTIFUL. I'd love to type out my papers with such elegance and the gamer-ness of the RGB backlight!
I really didn't do anything productive today except rearranging my desk. Last week I had CJ and my Dad relocate our old dining table from the 2nd floor to here in my bedroom because I wanted a bigger "study" table. And now the spaciousness of the table overwhelms me. But still, it's a W because I saved 1,300 pesos from buying that table I saw in Shopee. Hopefully how I arranged my desk right now will work for me. Oh! A bookstand, I'm hoping my mom can get that old bookstand from her boss's flat that he's not using (my Mom is being paid to clean her boss's flat, she's a housekeeper). Pls pls I want it because it's blue-green and I love that color!!!!!
Ugh, I tend to go on a tangent so whoever's reading this I'm sorry lmao. Anyway, there was brownout here and I thought it's gonna last for hours so I suggested to my brother and my little cousins (they hang out here almost every day, those spunky little shits) to watch a movie. He turned it down but my two cousins (aged 6-9 yrs). We're about to watch Hataraku Saibou (Cells at Work) and about to take a seat on the floor when the electricity went back. We're supposed to watch at least 1 episode but my laptop acted up and froze. So I told them to go back upstairs and continue what they're doing pre-brownout. Sigh.
