Dear Diary,
Going to try another one of those diary prompts....question is "Who do you admire, and why?"
That is easy because it is my dad. He works hard and has always put everyone first before himself. He has always been there for me, even when I have been a total ass. He took to being a grandpa like he had done it many times before. Never once hesitated with Jax.
He has sacrificed a lot for our family
My brother and him have a lot in common with their hobbies and interests but, dad always made the effort to spend time with me. We would eat out once a week and catch up and talk. He also used to send me a joke every morning. They were lame, trust me. One was, "what do you call a pig that knows karate? Pork chop"
Yep, lame jokes!
He has stood up for me many times. I also would make the effort to spend time with him. He loves football and I would usually sit with him most of the day on Sunday and watch it with him. It also involved playing on my phone, napping, and doing the occasional homework assignment but, I sat with him and we would talk and spend time together.
He has always been my biggest supporter and protector! I think if I could tell him one thing, it is that I am sorry.
I have went MIA and we have kind of drifted apart these past couple years. Maybe that was going to be the course of action in my life, going from a little girl to a teenager but, I am sorry because I also haven't put as much effort into it as I could have.
