July 22, 2020

As I mentioned in my previous entry, my family wanted to go rivertubing on Monday (July 20th) and we did. Just my parents, J, and myself.

It was a fun trip. J said, "it was a nice river day." God, he is the cutest 5 year old.

I was happy to make the trip up the mountain to my college town and the next city over for rivertubing. My college town is my home. I just about started crying a couple of times on the way up. I probably would've cried had I not been so exhausted. I went to sleep late the night before and J woke me up, as well.

It was a nice, relaxing float on the river. It felt really nice outside when the sun wasn't glaring down on us. Clouds and breezes were warmly welcomed. The water was nice and cool.

J had a tube that had a bottom to it, otherwise he would slide right through it. He also had a life vest on. He enjoyed tubing for a little while but eventually he got bored and started to ask about when we would leave.

After tubing, we took J to McDonald's where he asked for a medium-sized fry! He usually eats a small size but he ate almost all of the medium! He was so hungry!

My parents and I went to a local fast food restaurant that I love in my college town. It has the best milkshakes and the fries are really good, too. I also picked up some scones from my favorite bakery in town. I got three spinach and cheddar and three chocolate chip. I have one left of each now.

On the way back home, we all started to notice our sunburns. We all had applied some sunblock with SPF100, but clearly it didn't do its job well. J was actually sunburnt the least out of all of us. I ended up with the most.

I put sunblock on my arms and legs twice. Once before we got in the river and again sometime later while in the tube. My arms are burned really bad. My upper thighs are also pretty bad as well as my knees. I also put sunblock on my face and it worked pretty decently there. I just have a little patch on my forehead.

But there is one place where I entirely forgot to apply it. My chest.

My chest hurts so bad. I don't think I have sun poisoning and I don't think I have any blisters, but it hurts so much for the skin to be stretched or pushed together.

My skin hurts so bad that I spent all of Tuesday (21st) in bed trying to sleep it off. Now it's past 4am and I have no idea if I'll be able to sleep through the pain tonight. I'm a side sleeper so regardless of which side I sleep on, gravity will pull my breasts down to the side, thus pulling my skin, thus causing me great pain.

This is truly awful.

I'll provide a couple of pictures to show how bad it is in some spots.
