Right person, wrong time.

I started talking to this guy, D McD, about 4 days ago. It's gone really well. But yesterday he dropped a bomb on me: he currently lives about 20 minutes away from me, but sometime in the next month he will be moving over 3 hours away from me. Yikes.

I really don't want a long distance relationship. Ya girl needs cuddles, like on a regular basis. But it seems like we've grown fonder of each other since he told me about moving. Ugh.

We decided that we both want to see each other before he leaves and he has this upcoming Thursday off from work. We were thinking about going somewhere to eat on Wednesday (tomorrow) after work and then spending the night at a hotel (he says his house is a mess from everyone moving and there's also a bug problem).

I told my dad, "I'm going on a date tomorrow," and he said, "No, you're not." He doesn't want me to go on any dates because the number of covid19 cases are rising again, especially in our state. 😖

I told D McD what my dad said and apparently it really upset him. To what extent was he upset? I do not know.

D McD told me that even though we can't meet right now, he wants to come give me "the best weekend of [my] life after this all blows over."

He's really sweet. He's almost definitely infatuated with me.

I just wish I could find a suitable ending to this without hurting either of us. I know very well that a long distance relationship wouldn't work between us.
