Protest for George Floyd

George Floyd was an innocent black man. Derek Chauvin, a 19-year veteran of the Minneapolis police department, kneeling on 46-year-old Floyd’s neck for nine minutes as he pleaded for his life, saying that he couldn't breathe. Police files show that police brutality like this has happened before with Derek Chauvin. George went along with it and didn't fight back - this was cold-blooded murder. We cannot let something like this happen again; we need to fight back. We will fight for equality, and speak up about police brutality so that it will become punishable.

Following this case, people came together to peacefully protest that black lives matter, and racist acts like this shouldn't be happening any longer. Police showed up and shot rubber bullets and sprayed tear-gas - the same tear-gas which led to the local Target to catch fire (tear-gas is flammable). Admittedly, a small amount of people participating the protest did steal from the chain supermarket. Theft from big companies like this don't effect the company, and make a small difference for income. Compared to how much the company makes a month, losing a few dollars doesn't do them any harm.

Police are trying to silence the black lives matter movement, we will not let them silence innocent voices.

Now, let's compare this innocent, peaceful protest to a protest against lockdown restrictions that took place a few weeks ago:

People that were yelling and spitting in police faces didn't get shot with rubber bullets. People that were protesting for haircuts during a pandemic with guns weren't teargassed... Can you smell that? It's the white privilege.

Moving back onto the topic of who murdered George Floyd, Derek Chauvin was not fired until the public found out and reacted negatively. However, this isn't enough, this doesn't bring justice to George Floyd - whose name will not be forgotten or silenced. Derek Chauvin got his address leaked, and now police officers are protecting him - a criminal. He should be put in prison.

Black lives matter

We will not be peaceful until justice is surved
