Dear Diary,

So he (my husband) left for work, and I am suppose to be sleeping now, you know night shift and all, up all night and sleep at day... But between the nightmares waking me up every 15-20 minutes, and it taking another 45 minutes to calm down and settle down, I wouldn't call it sleeping per say.  Maybe power napping I guess.  How can I make these memories go away, why won't my brain let me forget and let go?

Nightmares are torture. I used to not get sleep when i look into the darkness inside our closed eyes longer. But after few years, i got to a point, where i purposely concentrate on that darkness after closing my eyes at night. That way I'm not scarwd of that darkness anymore. Try staring back at your nightmares too. They will become less scary. They become non-scary.
