I went to an human book reading event with a friend . It turned out much better than I expected. First of all , I thought there might be 10 people maximum turning up for it. But when we got there the registration desk was almost closed. We were lucky enough to be able to attend one of the sessions. The girl at our table talked of her struggles and how she over came them.
In the end, she gave us her ig id to stay in touch. I went through her profile, it was kind of surprising that she was a mini influencer on IG. All her posts seemed to indicate so much bliss and festivity and it was radiating happiness wholly. Yet the stories she narrated during the session says otherwise. her brother has been in a coma after an accident for 3 years. I saw that she had his name inked on her left wrist. She has suffered a lot.
Looking at ig you'd never guess she's had so much experience dealing with difficulties in life at such a young age.
I thought people who took instagramming carefully edited shots were shallow people. Like too dumb that they didn't have anything better to do.
But after I met her, my opinion has changed. We shouldn't judge people too quickly.
She does post pretty pictures on insta. She's very much aware of what she's doing. Yet like I expected her to be, she's not a dumb shallow person. She knows it's all just a projection. She does it anyone because it's her choice.
So that's one lesson. Not to judge anyone too quickly.
