I’m bad at this too — during arguments I don’t really listen, stress has made me explosive, and then the other person didn’t want to understand me either… Welcome to the losers’ club. It’s probably easier to live with someone you don’t love — no expectations, no desire to change. Just pure, empty comfort.
A relationship isn’t about being accepted “just the way you are,” it’s about choosing each other every day and helping one another understand themselves because you want to grow together.
