College First Half....

As I entered college in the University of the Philippines Visayas-Miagao, we were very poor. For me, life was at its hardest & lowest during my 1st Year College. This was during the time of President Gloria M. Arroyo.

By that time, our small sari-sari store closed. What sustained me are the eggplants of Tatay in his small farm. From Monday to Friday, I had to spend P700-P800 for my school which is 3-4 hours away from home.

Every weekend, I had to go back home to get my allowance from my parents & from a local politician (Nong Ray Asis). By my supposedly 2nd Year College (SY 2005-2006), I had to stop schooling primarily due to financial constraints (no more eggplants & no more financial assistance from Nong Ray). Thanks God because after 1 year of my LOA (Leave of Absence), I was able to go back to school when the President of our country was still Arroyo.
