This one takes the cake

7:45pm...one Friday night: 

It was almost time for my Zoom catch up with my bestie.

Unbeknownst to me, she had ordered a cake for my belated birthday and timed it to arrive just before our call (so we could celebrate together) Super sweet! 

Unbeknownst to her...the cake was delivered to the wrong house! hahaha. 

She received an apologetic call advising her of the mishap...

Apparently, the household who received the cake were confused about the cake...but then were told it was meant to be a gift. So they accepted it. Imagine the surprise when they opened the box and saw the personalised message! Haha. 

Because they had accepted it, the cake shop couldn't take it back and re-deliver it to me that night. 

When I go for walks, I often wonder which house received the cake and what they ended up doing with the cake. I can kinda picture them sitting round the table...staring at the cake...deliberating...mouths salivating haha. 

Anyway, I hope they enjoyed the cake, because it would have been a shame if it went to waste!
