There's no such thing as a free lunch. And, apparently, there's no such thing as a free online diary either. Just read this site privacy policy and I feel a fool. I mean I known I'm a idiot but this level of naivete is just beyond my own scope for stupidity. I guess, selling its users data is not much worse than what any other social media does, or even Google. But still. It just left me with a bad aftertaste on my mouth. Now every time I come here I'll be thinking about ads and marketing strategies and artificial intelligence training and how nothing on the internet will ever be truly anonymous. Fuck, I hate capitalism with a vengeance.
Nothing is free in life, and I feel like I should have known better.

Hi! so sad to hear that. But i swear, the open diaries is a conpletely non for profit project. Even for its sustainability, it'll never show you advertisements and never ever sell your data to advertisers. your notes are your notes. There is no free lunch and the reward for the builder of this project is the more loving and kind word....

I'll never not be full of rage for what capitalism has done to me
