Hey, here's my very first journal entry, and I can't help but wonder how long it'll be before I give up on writing again. I know I'm not the most committed person, but hey, at least I'm giving it a shot, right?

Right now, I've got this flood of ideas swirling around in my head, begging to be put on paper. But every time I try to capture them, it's like my thoughts turn into a chaotic mess and my brilliant ideas vanish into thin air. It's frustrating, to say the least.

The reason I'm giving journaling another go is simple: I want to create something I can look back on in the future. Life moves so quickly, and I worry that as I grow older, I'll forget the little moments that make it all worthwhile. It's those everyday experiences that might seem mundane now, but I know they hold a special place in my heart.

So, here's to this journal and the journey it will take me on. Even if I stumble along the way or miss a few entries, I'll keep at it. Because even if it's just a few scattered fragments of memories, it's still better than nothing.

Today:

-I have spent the entire day playing Sims 2.

Here are the highlights of June:

-Our manuscript received the prestigious honor of winning the best paper award! This achievement caught me completely off guard because, to be honest, I had doubts about the success of our study. I genuinely believed that our efforts were falling short. It's moments like these that remind me of the unpredictable nature of life and the incredible potential hidden within even the most uncertain situations (June 9, 2023).

-Received a response from Neil Gaiman on Tumblr (June 12, 2023).

-Mom and Dad tied the knot, marking a joyous occasion for our family. To celebrate their union, we headed straight to SM Seaside for a delightful lunch outing (Ribshack haha). I was particularly eager to try the Jollibee ice cream sundae and peach mango pie combination that everyone raves about. However, to my disappointment, I found the combination to be excessively sweet for my taste. It's funny how our expectations sometimes differ from reality, but hey, at least I can say I gave it a try! (June 16, 2023)
