Because beauty is not only about your look. Your thoughts and intentions all add to your beauty.
The time I see your picture, I will start to create an image about you.
This image is all based on my idealisation of you, so I will primarly judge you based on your physical look.
But if I get to know you as the person, the image of you might change completely.
Physical look shouldn't be used primarly to define others. What should define them is who they are from within. Sounds cheesy?
