Dear Diary,
It's strange to have life feel so different in a day's time. It felt like flipping a switch. On tuesday after class, I decided not to go home after class, and headed to get lunch and boba on telegraph. After that i lay on the grassy slope in front of sproul. Just laid there looking at the sky. I could hear the kids from the stalls on the way until the sather gate. a kid was playing violin in front of the music club stall. he was playing BGMs from got, harry potter etc.. it was fun, as usual the protestors of different causes holding up cards and chanting could be heard from the other side. People walking by some hurrying, some chill, talking laughing, lost in thoughts, i loved just taking it all in.
yesterday i planned to work on my llp presentation for wednesday in the morning. but filippa and aditi convinced me to get peets coffee in the morning. so off i went. on the way back, filippa proposed going on a way. aditi went home, and we continued. we walked up vine and rose and ended up on hawthorne ave. the weather was so good, and north berkeley, as always beautiful as ever, with its beauty and pretty houses and nice people. we walked by the greco-roman house, cause i couldnt help.
got back by 1 pm. Later, I went to campus to get tina's help with setting up my ssn. I was supposed to meet pratik before, but as uaual, you know me, I was late. I had invited him to dine home, a bunch of times, but just left it there. Now i felt bad that i was turning into that person, who would always tell people, lets catch up soon, and never actually do it. So I made up an excuse to get help with paperwork and visited him home with pizza. He seemed to be doing ok, but sometimes i feel like he gets a little detached from things and people around him. He's also coming to the dinner tonight. But i am glad I got to have a 1-0n-1 with him, before we all met at the dinner.
I finally decided to get to work in the evening, but filippa decided to meet her friend for beer at triple rock, and asked me to join. Umm,..duh offcourse i did. i forgot my id, so i had to run back to get it. but it was fun, we got nachos and beer. i got a drake's, its supposed to be a northern german one, it wasnt bad. it was fun chatting with evelyn. we got back and binged on reality trash on netflix, haha yummy mummies is soo good. sometimes, it feels logical to get a rich sugar daddy and just make babies, and be chaperroned around in a mercedes.
Overall greaat day.
Today, I cant wait to have friends over for dinner. Ameya, Pratik, Aurion and Kalle.. Aurion is the guy who melted cindy's toater at the last party. i'm so glad she isnt here.lol..i am not great friends with him. tbh, emilie introduced us during the last party, but he's been very generous with helping me on projects, so i wanted to pay it back.
kalle, well, he's the danish dude i met in lapm class. i was rushing to class on the first day, and sat in the back bench next to him. i thought, i mean he looks cute and everything, but what's with the weird p=mv tattoo on the wrist. i randomly kept running into him at parties, one of which i crashed at his own house..lol...imagine, crashing a party hoping not to know anyone there, and then bumping into your classmate who happens to be the host. but he was nothing but the nicest chap. so i think he deserves one. he also got into the skydeck incubator, so i'm very happy to see that his journey in the us has been going well. I really didnt expect to see him after the last semester, and thought he was back in denmark, but by happenstance i got to learn he's still around. but that's the funny thing of life in this part of the world, you never know who's going to remain in your life, and who's leaving.
People who i thought would stay are leaving, and i keep bumping into people who i thought i would never see again. I didnt have a great opinion of him after kristian's comments, but who am I to judge? He's never done anything to give off bad vibes, and kristian, well he's been nothing but a real bitch. I know kristian's still around, but i hope i never ever have to see him ever. lesson learnt: never take people's comments on others to heart. So I'm looking forward to learning what kalle's been up to this semester.
We started off the day with a lychee martini, so a little tipsy, but overall feeling very happy and lightheaded. I haven't felt so in months. It feels very very good.
