4. Raising Hope (TV series)
Not sure how many of you have seen it but it's one of my favorites. I'm not so much of a person to watch my favorites on repeat. I barely watch the movies or shows that I really loved while watching them. But this show is out of the thing for me. I love it, I love it, I love it.
I learned a lot and also still learning whenever I watch it. I first watched it in 2016 or 2017. After a year or so I longed to watch it again since few scenes and messages from it were playing in my head on loop but couldn't find it. Google said it was on Hulu. I didn't have a subscription at that time and I couldn't make one since I didn't have enough time to watch the series again, if at all I subscribed. So I didn't.
Now I have a Hulu subscription and I totally forgot that this show is on Hulu. When I came across it, I was ecstatic. I watched it again. And I couldn't believe that certain things/ideas/thoughts that kept going on in my head from time to time were from this show. Like what???
I gotta write about it in a separate entry and how it has etched into my brain and heart.
So I read online that the show was cancelled after the fourth season because it was boring. I was so surprised to come across such a thing about my favorite show. I think people found it boring because the main characters are a middle-aged, funny couple, their dumb son who knocks up a serial killer, who ends up giving birth to a girl(Hope), who ends up with the dumb guy and his family. They bring her up in their own funny way. And also shows how the couple brought their son up, the dumb one. It was funny.
Some people are weird. I mean, I know we all have different tastes from one another but cancelling a show solely based on that seems so unfair to fans like me.
Oh! And if anyone wants to give this show a try, I rate it 9 on the scale of 10.
Raising Hope- Hulu. 🤗
