Dear Diary, weeds grow so fast, but I don't want to use chemicals to kill them unless necessary, especially if they grow next to my herbs and vegetables. The neighbor once told me I reminded her of her father or grandfather. He only planted what he could eat, and so he's not fond of flowers or planting anything solely to make the garden or house looks nice. Well I do give herbs, vegetables and fruits priority for obvious reasons - but I have a few flowers as well, I'm not crazy of flowers but I don't mind planting one or two and I can understand people who are into flowers. There is something about flowers that can instantly make you smile and forget your sorrow, it's heaven-made beauty, something that lasts even if the flower itself doesn't.
One of my friends is an amazing painter. She loves painting flowers, each painting is just breathtaking, the flowers look more alive in the painting and the colors are more vibrant than they actually are. It's her passion and she channels it very well, I love her. I, of course, made an attempt or two to do the same and failed miserably. I thought of destroying these paintings, but instead I keep them, I even hung one on the wall. No one who has seen it, including my painter friend, made a comment yet. At least I've tried, it can't be that bad.
The friend who teaches art hasn't seen it yet, but I am kind of intimidated by her anyway, because she is so able in a lot of things. I do want her feedback though, if anything she will be blunt about it. To this day she's never seen creative side of me, so I guess it will have to happen someday.
