Dear Diary,

Still no word from Kemper. I text him Happy Birthday and left a voicemail. He said it would be shitty cell service but he would try to call if and when he could.

I have been spending my time reading. I have quite a stack of books to go through. It is so quiet without Kemper around. 

I cleaned the entire place yesterday and got caught up on laundry. 

If I knew when Kemper would be back, I would make him a cake. 

It has been pretty nice weather so I went down this morning and seen the horses that are in the corral. Not much else to do in this town. The owner was there and let me in the corral and showed me the barn too. I think he is around Kemper’s age and has an interesting name of Cant. 

He knew sign language so there is no language barrier at all with us.

I think the little horse named Olaf is so cute. He is also completely white. The name suits him.
