Having a mental Illness...

There's no cure for what I have but there are treatments to control the worst of the symptoms... Given time, you can live a good productive life as long as you keep being consistent with the meds and doctors advice... But what isn't cured is the lack of motivation to do anything... I feel like the medicines make me lazy and lethargic... I am grateful that there's medicines that curb the worst of the halucinations, but I wish there was a pill that magically brings back the ambition, and drive that I had before I got ill...

... This entry is too negative and dwells too much on the past... I'll try to write a more positive one in the future...

Sincerely,

A medicated schizophrenic

Hi, I just wanted to say I LOVE YOU. I love your post, your authenticity and your ability to see what is truly going on through your meds/disease. I wanted to drop a little tid-bit as I also struggle with mental illness.... Have you tried listening to SOLFEGGIO FREQUENCIES? or meditating? Have you found a religion or a support group. These are all things that help me everyday make it through the worst of the 'i don't want to do that, why me' complaints my brain comes up with.

Domt give up. And keep taking your meds. You will find that inner strength to have your get up and go once again. Be proud of yourself for taking the steps you already have.
