Dear Diary,

Friday, 12.18.2020

I finally was able to get my medication for my condition, PCOS

After arguing with CVS that my prescription insurance did not  in fact expire, I'm usually a docile person. Well I guess I didn't argue, I just gave up. I asked my specialist to send my meds to Walgreens. They were helpful and said my insurance did not expire, so there's that. I took home the medication and was excited/nervous for my new life to begin.

This would be my first day on my new medication. I was both nervous and excited, so when 9 am rolled around(when I eat breakfast) I had some left overs (I'm ashamed to say that I hadn't gone grocery shopping at this point for my new food lifestyle I would have to convert to.) I took the pill with a few supplements (vitamin D3, Iron, magnesium. I still need zinc and B12 I think) anyway, it when down fine and I headed to work for a couple hours just to get some extra work done. By 12 pm I headed home feeling particularly ill. Some of the side effects are naseua, bathroom trouble, and lack of appetite. I experienced all of those pretty badly until 5 pm. Hopefully it'll reduce in time because after 10 days my doctor wants me to go from two pills a day to three.

My fiancé and I got groceries which took longer than usual. I had to keep looking at the three meals I was going to prep for the week on Sunday as my diet has to change for life.

I can no longer have dairy, refined carbs, processed meats. Minimal sauces (we are talking mayo, mustard, organic honey) I can't have certain fruits like apples or pineapples, amongst other things. I will start a food diary.

In case you are wondering what I'm making for the week till Christmas, here's what.
For breakfast I'm having a four berry smoothie with almond milk and almond butter.
For lunch I'm having turkey stuffed bell pepper with rice.
For dinner I'm having chicken vegetable soup.

In any case I'll make those tomorrow aka today later on.

I had dinner and the pill once again, but thankfully no nausea happened this time.

I better get used to this.

Sorry for my boring entries. I also got some Christmas shopping done.

Hope everyone had a great week,
