My family wants to go on a day-cation on Monday (July 20th). We will be going rivertubing in the town next to my college town but we will spend most of the day in the college town. My mom has already made reservations and started the process for renting a vehicle.

I'm really excited about going. I love my college town and I love rivertubing. I've been to that same spot at least three times. I've been trying to get my family to go for years but they always made excuses, even if I offered to pay.

Unlike the last vacation, it's just gonna be my mom, dad, 5 year old nephew, and I. Also, we will drive there in the morning and drive back that evening.

Personally, I'd like to at least stay one night in that town. It gives me more time to show my parents the town and we could eat at more places than just one. That would also give me time to sneak in a tattoo from the place where I've gotten all of my tattoos.

But it's already been decided. And it's much nicer to sleep in my own bed, despite it being a bunk bed and not terribly comfortable. I mean, it's nice to sleep without having your guards up, being in an environment you're familiar with.

I'm just glad that I do get the opportunity to eat at one of my favorite restaurants and go rivertubing again.

I hope J enjoys it. They have tubes with a bottom for kids to use. I also bought a Cars toy (Lightning McQueen) that is supposed to float in water just in case he gets bored while we float down the river. It's important that the toy floats in case it goes outside of the tube. If it sunk, we would never find it.

I tried out the Playstation 2 I bought since the games arrived today. My favorite of the two games was pretty scratched up and had a couple of smudges. The other game had a lot of scratches.

I don't know if the scratches are to blame or if it's the console, but the games did not boot up. We will be taking the system and the games to the local game store tomorrow to see if they can test all of them.

I checked ebay and the PS2 said "no returns," so if the console is the problem, I just got shit out of $80. The games were about $30 together so that's not so bad, but losing money is still not good, especially if the seller has promised everything worked.

I also got my Sobble and Ponyta plushies today! I love them. They are my new friends. Who needs people anyway?
