Dear Diary, got a real good look at my spoon in my coffee today. A tunneled tornado began forming in the cup as my spoon swam to the left. But as the spoon began resisting the current, forcing itself to flow to the right instead, it was met with conflict. It could give up and keep spinning left, but it had already slowed considerably and would take some time to start moving quickly. It would be awhile before it could move as fast as it had been, and what if it became unhappy once again as soon as it got back to its original pace.
It will take a little more time to change directions, but the spoon hasnt been that way yet. Should the spoon choose to spend less time so it can get moving again in a way it is comfortable, or take a little more time to try something new.
The thought crossed it's mind, therefore it can not unthink the thought and it has already slowed down.
Take the slightly extra effort, find a new path.
