Dear Diary,

My goal today is to be mindful on everything, but what is my norm. I listened to some great podcasts yesterday and it awakened me to some things. When your life has become so usual or predictable, you might be headed towards burnout or being in a rut. We are like robots. We go through the same motions everyday. So today I want to be mindful of that. I want to shift my focus on good things...like the sound of the leaves rustling in the breeze, the birds chattering, the aroma of fresh brewed coffee, the sound of laughter, watching my dog snooze so slumberly, ect. But most of all I want to focus on people...my husband who works very hard to support us, my daughter who has a new fiance, my Granddaughter who has been helping her friend with her kids, but besides those people I know, I want to show kindness to those who go so unnoticed...the store clerks, the nurses aids, street workers, anyone who we may come in contact with...we should show them love. They are out in the world making a living just like you and I and it's a tough world. So maybe, think about someone else today. I think when we put our focus on someone besides yourself, it will brighten your day immensely. Blessings to all!๐Ÿ˜Šโค๏ธ

Whoops! It got a away from me! LOL Anyway, STUFF doesnt create lasting happiness! Perhaps temporarily, but thats it.

So true! We have so much and honestly it brings temporary satisfaction. What makes us happy is our Spirit, our attitude, our appreciation, and being grateful for the simple things

Maybe its because of the fast pace of life these days, we forget the little joys in everyday life. I remeber my gramdparents were a lot more content with the very little possessions they had. And i cant even imagine myself in their shoes.
