Dear Diary,

I started listening to the book Ichigo Ichie Again. And yesterday the book explained the concept of mankai and kaika,I remember that while listening to that I felt so amazing and i thought that's how i should find inspiration in life. Then a thought comes to me, that i heard it last time also and last time also i felt very good about the book, but i did not apply any of these concepts, why? I do remember how i felt about the book, and a only a little thing remained in me about living in the present moment, but the book had lot more, and it feels strange, that i do not remember anything now. In fact, i was trying to remember the concept which i learned just yesterday and i could not remember it exactly what it was.

So this brings me to the conclusion, I don't know if it's true for everyone, but for me this is the thing -

1. Reading a non-fiction book is mostly only helpful if you have a relatable situation right now and you can apply some of the concepts there. If you do not experience it, you are going to forget it anyway, very soon(Sooner than you think)

2. Making notes of the book is essential, and it can help retain some of the knowledge, at least you can come back to it later and read the summary and it can remind you about the concepts again.

3. If you can't do both, don't read non fictions - instead read some fiction, because, unlike the knowledge part, I think fiction induces creativity in your brain.

I have started reading the Old man and the sea. I am liking the character of the old man.
