( To start off with before I tell this story It Is true This happened to me this year and I don't know what to expect next year so please Enjoy And let me know If you want another life story of mine I may only be 15 but I have a lot to tell. I also don't feel comfortable saying the town's name. )

It all started when I moved to a new Town. The town seemed Normal I had just made a few friends Colby, Dakota, And Aaron. They were all sweet and we all had been friends for a couple months now. It was getting closer to Valentines day and I started to notice as It got closer there was no one single In town but me. I Ignored It until It was only a week before Valentines day and random guy's were asking me out because they felt pity for me I kept turning them down because I knew none of them. Then Colby and Dakota came up to me and Dakota asked me out I could see It was out of pity as well but that's when I finally asked, "Ok why Is no one single but me, And why do people keep asking me out?". Dakota looked at me and said, "Ok look every year on Valentines day someone single get's their heart ripped out by the Valentines Day Monster." He said that so....so calmly like It was normal. I called him crazy and walked away that's when my mom called me and told me I had to walk home tomorrow I check my calendar on my phone and......tomorrow Is Valentines day. I started to freak out then thought Its just a story to scare me I will be fine The bell rang and everyone started to go home my mom came to pick me up and we went home. I did some chores then went up to my room and started doing some research on this V-day Monster and hours of research later I came to realize Dakota was not lying. every year one Valentines day someone was found dead with their heart ripped out and they were always single. I started freaking out because I had to walk home....alone tomorrow. I fell asleep and my alarm clock woke me up for school I did not want to go but I wanted chocolate from the lunch sale's. So I got ready then went to school, Lunch came around and as always the school was selling chocolates for V-day as a fundraiser I bought some for me and my friends and put them In my backpack and forgot about them. School ended and panic set In as I was walking down the street. I started hearing what sounded like the bass of a car stereo but a car passed and I was alone but the sound was getting louder and louder. I started running home I got to my front door and was searching through my backpack to find my keys. That's when I smelled It, I could smell sweets and I felt the warm air on my neck as If someone or something was breathing. I closed my eye's as hard as I could and that's when I heard It someone whispered In my ear, "I love the sound of your heart, It's a shame It's alone, Let me add It to the others." then I felt something sharp touch my chest and I thought I was dead. Then I remember the chocolates and had a crazy Idea I snatched the box of chocolates out of my backpack and I held It out to the monster and I refused to open my eyes and I said, "WIll you be my valentine?" the monster took the chocolate and was gone I ran Inside and locked my bedroom door and waited for my mom to come home.
