Dear diary,

Why did Janet doom me to watch Partners for Justice? Thrilling, yes but more like being dragged through a mental battlefield, gunfire tearing holes in what’s left of my sanity. After binge-watching, my brain isn’t just fried it’s a crime scene, littered with the shattered remains of hope and coherence. Binge-watching is the cruelest addiction promising escape, delivering emptiness. it tricks you into wasting entire days you’ll never get back.

Yeah, I did some chores, but mostly I just rearranged the graveyard of my motivation.

Those scenes of Jang Chul’s childhood abuse? A nightmare dressed as fiction. Those scenes destroyed my soul. I could hear my mother’s spectral voice, dripping with disdain, “If you’re not strong enough, don’t watch. And don’t expect me to come rescue you from your nightmares.” Thanks, Mom

The ending? A masterclass in emotional torture. Spoiler Alert: Eun Sol finally drags the tyrant Oh Man Song from his throne of filth, but not before every soul is shredded to pieces. Prosecutor Do Ji Han uncovered corruption at the highest level, but Chief Prosecutor Gal Dae Cheol was out for blood and came dangerously close to killing him. Forced by the grim necessity of survival, Do Ji Han had no choice but to resign. Doctor K(Jang Chul) isn’t dead thank god but we’re left dangling on a cliffhanger sharp enough to draw blood. I longed for Doctor K and Han Soo Yeon’s happiness, but hope was a flickering candle snuffed out by the merciless wind of this tale.

And Kang Hyn? The one-season wonder who just up and quit? I was ready to ship him and Eun Sol to the altar. They had chemistry that could start a fire in a rainstorm, but nope the writers treat love like a side dish nobody ordered. Why bother cooking it if it’s just going to get thrown in the trash?

So thank you, Partners for Justice,

for torching the last flicker of faith I held

in stories, in heroes, in the faint promise of justice.

Now, my mind lies in ashes,

a battlefield where wonder once lived.

And my soul?

A weary traveler, torn between hope and closure.

And lesson learned ? 😭 :

you can’t overthrow the bad guys not in real life, not on screen. In the end, the bad guys thrive, the good guys resign, and justice takes a long nap while corruption throws a party.

So grab your popcorn because in this circus, the clowns always run the show.
