Presentation & My Churchgoing....
My Churchgoing when I was a kid was like the 4th Joyful Mystery - The Presentation at the Temple. The child Jesus was presented by his parents to the Jewish Temple. My parents also presented me to the Catholic Church.
From Grade 1 to Grade 4, I used to go to the 5 Wounds Church in Las Piñas. It was there where I had my 1st Communion. My churchgoing in Las Piñas was one of my happiest moments as a kid because every Sunday after the mass, my parents would buy me Yakult, cotton candy, ice cream and/or lugaw and/or go to SM Southmall to buy me & my sister a Kiddie Meal from Jollibee and or a Happy Meal from McDonald's.
But in Grade 5, we transferred to the province (Dumarao) and since then, I used to attend Sunday masses in the Our Lady of Snows Parish Church. If the patron of 5 Wounds Church is Jesus Christ, the patron saint of OLSP Church is Mama Mary. They are different churches, but the same God.
