Annunciation & My Baptism....
My Baptism was like the 1st Joyful Mystery - The Annunciation. God (through Archangel Gabriel) announced to Mary her being Mother of Christ. In my case, God (through a priest) announced to every witness my being a Christian.
The priest who baptized me was Rev. Fr. Gerardo Macapinlac and the priest who signed my Certificate of Baptism was Rev. Fr. Mario Villaraza. I have 5 godfathers (Vicente Garduque, Roberto Go, Rene Santiago, Carlos Soliven & Expedito Soliven). I also have 5 godmothers (Marie Cabral, Imelda Llorca, Araceli Sarahan, Merlina Siason & Flor Tañag).
The day of my Baptism (October 18, 1987) at San Ildefonso Parish in Makati was also the Wedding Anniversary of my parents. It is the day I received my name - Jose Radin L. Garduque. This is the very day I become a Roman Catholic & the day I was granted my very first sacramental sanctifying grace from God.
