Dear Diary,
In this week, the assignment that I must do is to interview an alumnus from IS department and my parents (guardian). The first assignment is to interview an alumnus. I am looking for alumni through Linked.in, I found alumni whose name is Indra. This interview is about asking him about pros and cons as a IT consultant. From that interview, one of pros as an IT consultant is the profession is less stressful than other profession. The most important thing is find a job that matches with your passion because it will be done with pleasure. One of the reasons of his choosing IT consultant as a job is he find it fun to solve problems and provide solutions to clients. He also told me about as long as the technology exists, as long as IT consultant services will be needed. From the cons, if we can’t find fun at the job, we will be miserable to do the job because of a mismatch with passion. a little feeling of stress and fatigue is a very natural thing founded in working.
In interviewing my guardian, I chose my sister because at that time my parents are out of town. In this interview, I asked her about her expectation on me in the future and her opinion about my major. The expectation from her to me are to have fun and successful life in terms of carrier or social life without forget to develop and build character. Choosing Information System is definitely a wise decision because the current business development in the world where put Information System as a driving force. So, people who has a knowledge in Information System will be always needed.
