Dear Diary, today and tomorrow is celebrated The Day of the Death or "El Dia de los Muertos", a Mexican holiday associated with the Catholic celebrations of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day in Latin America and elsewhere.

This is a family and friends gathering to pray and to remember those who have died. The celebrations include creations of elaborated altars, traditional dishes, food, bread, parades and customs.

Mexico is the biggest keeper of the tradition. Their legends like The Cryer or "La Llorona" and The Catrina Skeleton, or "La Calavera Catrina", come alive.

El dia de los Muertos is also celebrated in the USA, specially in San Francisco, California. The artistic impressive creations of skeletons, skulls, and other images are displayed in the large street parades.

The fun is contagious.
