A taste of a dream:
She was walking towards a narrow street surrounded by tall buildings. It had a dead end and no lights. Her plan was diabolical, but since she's in York, she might as well give it a try. He'd be coming with the morning bus, getting off one stop early, meaning he'd have to walk past that street. She put on her fake contacts and tied her hair up in a bun, throwing her briefcase onto the fire escape retractable ladder. She made sure she had a cloth in her back pocket ready. And then her smart watch goes off, signalling the arrival of his bus. She quickly pulled her hoodie over her head and pretended to cry, crying out for help whenever she thought he was there.
And there he was, his long brown hair tied in a messy ponytail. He walked with a slouched head, focusing his eyes on the ground beneath him. Then she pleaded out for him to help her.
"Please, someone help me! Sir! I need your help, please! Some bullies threw my briefcase onto the fire escape, and I can't reach it.. Please, I'll even pay you if it's necessary.."
She desperately pleaded, crocodile tears staining her cheeks. He sighed and gave in, unaware of her true nature. She lead him to the end of the street where her bag was stuck. He put down his own backpack, jumped and reaches for hers. He was successful after a few tries, feeling somewhat proud of his accomplishment. When he was about to turn around to hand her the briefcase, he was attacked from behind, a cloth pressed against his mouth and nose. He panicked, trying to fight off the attacker by slamming his back against the wall.
He felt his strength escaping, he couldn't hold his breath anymore. He tried to breathe, but all he inhaled was the fume of the chemical substance that he knew would knock him out in an instant.
All out of breath, the girl slowly let him go, letting him fall to the ground. Making sure nobody saw her, she got her car and with some difficulty, managed to get him onto the backseat. She made him look like he was only sleeping, which was harder than she first though it'd be. While quietly panting, she took his backpack and put it in the trunk along with her briefcase. Her heart was pounding out of her chest, the adrenaline was flowing through her body as if it were her blood. The ride was tense, she was afraid of getting caught.
He woke up to a monster headache. What felt odd though, was that he was unable to move from his sitting position and everything was dark even when he tried opening his eyes. He realised he was tied to a chair with a blindfold over him. He growled under his breath and struggled against his restraints.
"Come now, we both know you aren't going to be able to break out of those"
A familiar voice said. It was the girl he helped out! This was exactly why he couldn't trust anyone.
She proceeded to list his information, his full name, date of birth, place of residence, his past relationships, his medical problems. He was more than creeped out by that point.
"How do you know all of that?! Who told you?! What do you want from me??"
He asked frantically, unsure of his fate.
"There was a certain someone ypu were in a relationship with. I want to know all about her."
He was confused, having been in a relationship with only two people before. Or so he thought.
"You've been with three women up until now. Tell me everything you know about the third one, or you'll see what I'm capable of!"
The girl said in a deeper voice, as if trying to mask her real voice. He was fed up with her bullshit and wasn't going to play along in her game.
"What's her name?"
"Why do you care, bitch. I'm not telling you anything."
She walked closer to him and pressed the back of the knive's blade against his throat, making him know that she wasn't a threat to be taken lightly. He swallowed his saliva and began talking.
She asked very bizarre questions for a kidnapper.
"What did she mean to you?"
"She was my everything... I loved her with every part of me."
"Then why did you break up with her?"
"I... I don't.."
He was on the brink of tears which broke the girl's heart. She wasn't able to keep her act together. She took off her contacts, pulled down her hoodie and untied her hair. She spoke in her normal voice.
"I'm sorry I put you through this, I should never had come here in the first place."
She was back to being her insecure, depressed and suicidal self.
"You make a terrible kidnapper."
He mocked in his newfound confidence.
"I'm sorry. I'll untie you and you're free to do as you please. Kill me for all I care. I would deserve it after everything I've done to you."
Ahe said as she went to untie him. First his legs and then his arms. Lastly, he pushed her away from him in precaution. He took the blindfold off himself and saw the last person he'd expected. It was his third girlfriend.
"You?! Why? I can't.. I don't understand what the fuck is even going on anymore! You put a fucking knife to my throat!"
"I would never do that! It was the back of my keys!"
And with that silence followed.
He was dumbfounded, confused and furious. She was scared and hopeless.
"I just wanted to do one last thing before I truly let you go.."
She said and walked closer to him, kissing his lips softly when she mustered up enough courage. To her surprise, he didn't push her away but he didn't kiss her back either.
(And that's when I woke up!)
