After a nice, long winter break, everything around this elementary school is alive and kicking again. The damn 7 a.m. traffic jam is back—honking and all—and the volunteer crossing guards are out there doing their thing. Even the bread-and-veggie guy is back with his little stand. You see kids running around, laughing their heads off. It's a beautiful mess, and honestly? Mornings like this just feel right.
