Dream Big or Dream Small

Okay, then. Today I'm going to try to write something about dreams.

HERE GOES.

There are big dreamers and then there are small dreamers. There are people who dream big and then there are people who dream small. People who dream big dream about changing the world, dream about becoming the change they wish to see in the world.

People who dream small, only dream about themselves, don't dream about changing the world at all. What is very shameful is that people who dream small do not support people who dream big, that people who have small dreams do not support people who have big dreams. In fact, people with small dreams do their best to ruin big dreams of people with big dreams.

They do so intentionally or unintentionally. They do so, because they envy the people with big dreams. When big dreamers talk about their big dreams, they become envious of them and of their dreams. Their envy only grows. It doesn't become smaller, but it becomes larger and larger. And envy is a very dangerous emotions, because the more envious you are, the more darker you actually become. Until one day you can't see past envy anymore.

That's why very rare are those who end up making their big dreams come true. And the reason why I say 'rare' is because many big dreamers give up on their big dreams as soon as they hear the words 'it's impossible' from people who have small dreams and do not dream big at all. Very rare are those who don't listen to the naysayers and envious people and pursue their big dreams until they make them come true.

We live in a generation that's not full of rocket scientists but is actually full of idiots. We live in a generation which has people with tremendous potential and which has people who can't see tremendous potential they have within themselves.

And that's why many people who have tremendous potential never really act upon it, do something about it, make it count. Because people with small dreams do their best to ruin other people's potential which they can see, or they can't see at all.

What happens then is that people who have tremendous potential don't really want to make their big dreams come true anymore, because they no longer believe in them, and people who have small dreams, keep having small dreams, and don't change the trajectory of their dreams at all. People with small dreams still have no goals in life, and people with big dreams give up on their goals. And that's not okay, because it hurts the progress of humanity. Someone may dream about changing the world, someone may be the next Steve Jobs or Steve Wozniak, someone may be the next Elon Musk, or the next Isaac Newton, the king of Physics. Someone may be the next William James or the next Sigmund Freud, and yet never discover this for himself.

Truth is, we all have tremendous potential, but not all of us can see it within ourselves or within other people. And because we can't, we tend to judge other people's dreams. Instead of telling them 'your dream is beautiful, you're going to change the world with it someday' we say 'your dream is impossible.

You should give up on your dream'. We don't believe we can make them come true and because we don't believe we can make them come true, we hypocritically and selfishly believe others can't make them come true as well. Truth is, they can make them come true, and it's thanks to us they believe they can't.

Our words matter to them for whatever reason. Especially if we are a family member, a friend, or a distant relative. So instead of supporting them, we end up being envious of them. And our envy kills their dreams, and by killing their dreams, also kills the potential their dreams may have on the progress of humanity.

Is that okay to you? I don't think it is okay to you. I think it's not. Yet we all do this, we are all to blame for this. We don't dream big, or as big as we should dream, and because we don't, we ruin other people's dreams. And that's not okay because we all deserve to have dreams and to make our dreams come true.

Just putting my two cents on the very serious issue the entire world is facing with today, besides of course, grammatical or mathemathical illiteracy which are two very huge problems. I don't know. Maybe I should stop writing, and ask you for your own opinion on this. I don't know how this diary works. If you like this, and if you agree, I'd like your two cents on this issue.

Thanks for reading & best of luck !
